Let’s try something different…
Did you know that in 2005, World of Warcraft, the Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game or MMORPG, experienced a Virtual Pandemic called “the Corrupted Blood Incident”!
It was apparently remarkably close to a real life disease spread and the ways in which the players reacted have been fascinating me. I thought it might be interesting to see what you all notice before I share my thoughts. So here is what I thought we could do.
1. Watch this video (6 minutes) about the Corrupted Blood Incident.
2. Think about the players reactions and compare then the the Marczewski Player Type Hexad. What player types did you notice? What did they do that indicate that player type?
3. Add your thoughts in the comments OR on this Google Form! I will use the form to post your reflections in a future post!
